New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The quarantine due to coronavirus pandemic has locked down the Bachchan’s, but unfortunately not below the same roof. Jaya Bachchan was in New Delhi when the nationwide lock down was announced and couldn’t make way back home to ‘Jalsa’ in Mumbai.
Amid all this, Jaya Bachchan just turned 72, and her children and husband Amitabh graciously took to social media to mark the occasion.
Sharing an image of Jaya Bachchan on Instagram, son Abhishek reminded his mother that her family is thinking of her every moment and they’re carrying her in their hearts.
"As every child will tell you, their favourite word is... MA! Happy Birthday, Ma. Although you are away in Delhi due to the lockdown and we all are here in Mumbai, know that we are thinking of you and carry you in our hearts. I love you!," wrote Abhishek Bachchan alongside the picture.

However, the Bachchan-daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda went back to the memory lane, and shared a wobbly-adorable photograph of yesteryears – in which Jaya is looking gracious as ever in a Red Saree, and Bachchan siblings terrifically cute as kids.
Shweta quoted American poet EE Cummings' poem I Carry Your Heart With Me and wrote: "I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it (anywhere I go you go...) - Happy birthday, Mama; I love you (with a little help from e e cummings).
Husband Big-B also kept up with the younger members of his family, and took to Twitter to express his gratitude towards fans sending their regards to Jaya Bachchan on her birthday.
“To them that have wished Jaya on her birthday today, my gratitude and love .. thank you for remembering her .. it will be impossible to respond to each of you individually , hence this .. love ..she has been given your wishes and she sends her thanks,” Amitabh Bachchan, @SRBachchan wrote on Twitter.

The Bachchan family had come together to applaud India's Coronavirus fighters working at first-line of defence during Janata curfew on March 22, 2020. Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda were seen applauding from their terrace, but Jaya Bachchan was nowhere to be seen.
