New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Former Miss Universe and Bollywood sensation, Lara Dutta on Thursday turned 42-years-old, and the nationwide lockdown to contain the COVID-19 pandemic could not stop her from partying hard with her loved ones, although virtually.  

The virtual Birthday Bash for Dutta was hosted by none other than her husband and former world number one Tennis Doubles player, Mahesh Bhupathi. Mahesh brought home a 'virtual birthday party' for wife Lara.

Mahesh Bhupathi took to Instagram to share this unique birthday moment with the rest of the world. The Indian counterpunching Tennis star also brought forth the visual assimilation of the birthday pictures with daughter Samaira and Lara herself, for duo’s fans and followers.

Mahesh wrote, “Virtual Birthday Party done .. Happy Birthday @larabhupathi . May God Continue to Bless you with this amazing husband and incredible kid for another few decades at least . Ps .. yes we ate well today.”

Mahesh Bhupathi and Lara Dutta got engaged in September 2010 and shortly after, tied the knot in February 2011. Less than a year after, in January 2012, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi welcomed their daughter Samaira into the world.

Mumbai (the place of Mahesh Bhupathi’s residence) is under tough lockdown measures, with the city currently comprising of the most number of COVID-19 hotspots in the country. Covid-19 tally increased to 3081 in Maharashtra, according to the state health department, with Mumbai alone having reported 2,043 cases.
