New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: The nationwide lockdown to contain the Coronavirus pandemic, among other businesses, has brought the creative world of Mumbai almost to a standstill. But superstar Salman Khan has found a way to keep his creative senses on the move while staying at his Panvel farmhouse during the on-going lockdown period. The 54-years old superstar is ‘feeling like being in Bigg Boss house’ and because there are no eliminations, Mr. Khan has decided to make his isolation period creatively productive.

In an interview to Bombay Times, Salman Khan opened up about his latest singing project titled ‘Pyaar Karona’, which aims to cheer up the locked down population across the aisle of creative consumers. The actor has been stationed at his Panvel farmhouse along with his family – mother Salma Khan sister Arpita, brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and their kids Ahil and Ayat – all through the days of lockdown.

“We came here for just two days, but when the lockdown was implemented, we had to stay back for longer. It’s been about a month now. This was the thing to do. In a situation like this, we can’t shoot a movie here, though we are so many of us together in the house. But we could definitely do a song using the equipment we have with us, like phone cameras. I sang the track and we edited the video here, but the music was composed in Mumbai,” Mr. Khan told Bombay Times.

According to Salman, ‘pretty much everyone in the farmhouse has participated in this project’ – and there are two more singing endeavors of Khan which will be out soon.

When asked how he’s coping with the lockdown, Salman said that he’s feeling like being in the Bigg Boss house, and since there are no eliminations, the actor is also able to extract time for painting, and ‘quite bit of it’ at that – which he plans to put out in some time, remarked the superstar.

‘Music is the best remedy’

Salman first stepped into formal world of singing in 1998 with the song ‘O oh Jaane Jaana’ in brother Sohail Khan’s ‘Pyaar Kiya to Darna kya’. He also gave runaway hits – in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick (2014) with the track ‘Hangover’ and ‘Jumme ki raat’—and in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan (2016) with ‘Jag Ghoomeya’.

“There is nothing better than music. Everyone is at home and most people who are at home have internet connections. People are consuming content, working and trying to do things to keep their mind active and distracted from their worries. Music is the best remedy in such times as it can help people de-stress,” Salman said.
