New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The results for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) - Mains were announced by the HRD Ministry’s National Testing Agency on Friday and as many as nine students scored a perfect 100 in it.
The toppers for the engineering entrance exam include Delhi boy Nishant Agarwal, Nisarg Chadha from Gujarat, Haryana’s Divyanshu Agarwal, Landa Jitendra and Thadavarthi Vishnu Sri Sai Sankar from Andhra Pradesh, Akhil Jain and Parth Dwivedi from Rajasthan, Rongala Arun Siddardha and Chagari Koushal Kumar Reddy from Telangana.
A senior JEE official of the NTA said that a total of 8.69 lakh students, including 6.04 lakh male and 2.64 lakh female and three transgenders, had appeared for the exam that was conducted in six shifts from January 7-9.
JEE-Mains is conducted for admission to engineering colleges across the country. JEE-Advanced is for the ones seeking admission to IITs. It is mandatory to clear JEE-Mains to be eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced.
Here’s how you can check the JEE Main 2020 Result:
Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE - Mains that is jeemain.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Now click on view result/score card
Step 3: Now you would need to fill in your details such as your application number, date of birth, security pin
Step 4: After this, you would need to click on submit, following which you the result will appear on your screen
Step 5: Take a print out for further reference.
Earlier, the NTA had released the JEE Main 2020 answer key on January 13. The answer key was released online and was accessible through official exam portal i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates had time until 15th January 2020 to raise objections and challenge the answer key released by the exam conducting authority.
