Melbourne (Australia) | Jagran Sports Desk: The Women's T20 World Cup final was played between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. In the final, Defending champions Australia beat India by 85 runs in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup final for their fifth title. 

In the match, Australia won the toss and opted to bat. Openers Alyssa Healy 75(39) and Beth Mooney 78 (54) provided a strong start to help the hosts reach 184/4 in the stipulated 20 overs.

In reply, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team were bowled out for just 99 runs. Megan Schutt picked four wickets, while Jess Jonassen picked three wickets. 

More than 75,000 tickets were sold for the final, unprecedented in women's cricket.
