New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Team India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan on Friday slammed a half-century and shut his haters in style. The 34-year-old took just 36 balls to score 52 runs that included seven fours and a six. In the previous match, he had scored 32 runs off 29 balls but failed to convert it into a big knock. Dhawan had made his comeback in the ongoing series after missing the previous T20I series against West Indies owing an injury he sustained in Ranji Trophy.
As soon as he came back to form, here's how netizens reacted on Twitter:
A user wrote, ''What a difference ten balls makes. Dhawan looked like he couldn't time a ball, now he looks liberated."

"If Shikhar Dhawan continues to play the way he is playing tonight then I’d then love to see KL Rahul as a wicketkeeper in T20s for India #INDvSL," another user wrote.

Dhawan is clearly my opener with Rohit in Odis and T20Is. #INDvSL

Nothing but respect for Shikhar Dhawan. When pushed to the wall, shows his character. Incidentally his greatest strength that, his character.

In the third T20I, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to field first. The visitors are 0-1 behind in the series and need to win to avoid consecutive T20 series whitewash.
