New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: As Rahul Dravid, who is commonly known as ‘The Wall’, turned 47 on Saturday, the Board of Cricket Control (BCCI) wished the former batting legend by relieving the batsman’s knock of 153 against New Zealand at the World Cup 1999.

“Wishing The Wall - Rahul Dravid a very Happy Birthday. His exploits in Test cricket are well known but we thought we would relive one of his knocks in ODIs against New Zealand. #HappyBirthdayRahulDravid,” the BCCI captioned a video.

In 153 knock against the Kiwis, Dravid hit 15 fours and two sixes. He was also involved a 331-run partnership with Sachin Tendulkar. The duo helped team India post 376 for the loss of just two wickets against the Kiwis. India went on to register a win by 174 runs in the match.

As the Indian legend turned 47, a number of his fans and former cricketers wished him. Former cricket and his long time batting partner VVS Laxman also wished Dravid a happy birthday.

“Wishing my good friend Rahul Dravid a very special birthday and a wonderful year filled with love, happiness, and prosperity,” he tweeted.

Dravid on Saturday turned 47. The batting maestro played 164 Tests, 344 ODIs and one T20I for India. He had announced his retirement from international cricket in March 2012, finishing his career with 48 international centuries.

Dravid has now taken up the role of coaching the junior Indian sides (India U-19, India A). He is also the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
